About

The Health Systems Flagship Program is a World Bank initiative designed to enhance the capacity of multisectoral policymakers, practitioners, and staff in navigating the complexities of health system reforms.

Through this program, country teams will identify their most significant health system challenges and address them by implementing systemic approaches, fostering collaborative practice and enhancing their technical skills.

My role

Curriculum Lead & Learning Designer

As curriculum lead, I led the redesign of the Health Systems Flagship Program, a 30-year-old cornerstone World Bank offering, rebuilding it into a five-component learning architecture spanning stakeholder alignment, systems change and adaptive leadership, technical deep dives, a community of practice, and implementation support.

I piloted the new design first with the Pacific Islands, then scaled it to the Latin America and Caribbean region.

Bridging Global and Regional Expertise

I ran co-design sessions with global and regional experts to surface real implementation challenges on the ground. This became the foundation for the program's Deep Dives component, pairing global experts, country teams, and government officials to work through these challenges together.

Each Deep Dive embedded coaching and on-demand knowledge stations for expert access, linking country-level work directly to potential Bank operations.
